Melissa was born in Kentucky, and at the age of fifteen moved to Marianna. She graduated from high school and started her journey to becoming a nurse. She was a nurse for thirty-two years and just retired in the fall of 2021. She has been married to her husband Scotty for sixteen years. Melissa and her husband have four kids and eight grandchildren. Melissa has never been one to spend money on frivolous things or have professional portraits done, but she allowed herself a day to feel beautiful. Melissa being a mother, daughter, wife, and caregiver takes a lot of energy, and this campaign was an opportunity for her to feel pampered, and it was a day all abut her.
